Q: Who can attend Community Education classes?

A: Community Education Classes are open to anyone in the community and surrounding counties. In general, you must be 18 to attend adult classes.

Q: When can I sign up?

A: Right away! Registrations taken first come, first served! Use any of five ways! 1. Call us at (979) 277-6531

Q: Can I sign up late?

A: You can sign up right up to the class day! However, classes may not be offered due to the small number of registrations. It's better to sign up quickly when you are interested in a class to save yourself a place and to insure that the class will have enough participants. If you plans change, you can cancel and get a refund. Note: Instructors do not register students in class!

Q: What payment options are available?

A: We accept cash, checks, money orders, VISA, Mastercard, and Discover.

Q: Where do classes meet?

A: Classes meet in a variety of locations throughout the Brenham Community. Many classes are held at Brenham High School, the Community Education Building, and Blinn College. However, classes may occur in a special location such as Washington on the Brazos, the Bluebell Aquatic Center, and the Full Moon Studio. Check the location of the class you are interested in. Call 277-6531 if you need more information on the location of the class.

Q: What is the Refund Policy?

A: Refunds will automatically be made if a class is cancelled by Community Education. Sorry, no refunds are given after the second class meeting. All refunds will be paid by check request from BISD Business Office. Credit card refunds will be credited to your credit card. A $10 cancellation fee will be charged for customer requested refunds prior to registration deadline.

Q: When are classes cancelled?

A: Classes will be cancelled the morning of the scheduled start date if the minimum enrollment is not met, unless otherwise stated. Brenham Community Education reserves the right to cancel classes, change times or locations, substitute instructors as deemed necessary. You wil be notified only if the class is cancelled. A $10 cancellation fee will be charged for customer requested refunds prior to registration deadline.

Q: Do classes meet during the holidays?

A: The regular Brenham ISD school calendar is followed. Unless specific arrangements are made, there are no classes during school holidays.

Q: Can I sign up late?

A: Please register early. Instructors need a few days notice before they begin classes and supplies and materials must be purchased prior to the first day of class. Some classes are cancelled because students do not register early enough.

Q: What happens in case of inclement weather?

A: Community Education will not have classes if the schools are closed. Make up classes will be scheduled when classes are closed due to inclement weather.

Q: How do I know that I am signed up?

A: If you register online, you will receive confirmation by email. If you register in other ways you will automatically be registered.

Q: Can I use tobacco or eat in class?

A: Tobacco is prohibited on all school property (buildings and grounds). Food and drinks are not allowed the the classrooms (Exception: cooking class).
